David Nyquist
Robert Andrews
aka "Wonderboy"

David Nyquist started working at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival as a street performer in 2006, and was excited to join The Court Revelers in 2007 season.

With only one year under his belt, David is by no means new to the renaissance festival environment. Born and raised in Minnesota, David has attended the festival as a patron since he was born. Those who know him agree that David was born to work at the festival. He is a college student double-majoring in Theater arts and Medieval history.

As one of the youngest members of The Court Revelers, David has the least singing experience. He has performed in both his High school and College choirs, as well as some church choirs and The MacPhail Center for Music. David will be joining the Revelers as his former street character, the would be Robert Andrews: "Hero!" Since no one needs a hero to save them during a festival, Robert may as well sing.

Jim Slater

Jim Slater
Lord Ockham Von MacMilhaus aka "Ockie"

Jim feels fortunate to have grown up in the singing world of Northfield, MN (the land of cows, colleges, and contentment). Originally he hadn't signed up to be in 7th grade choir, but a week before school started a little voice said "you really need to sign up"...and he's been singing ever since.

He attended St. Olaf his first year of college and sang in the Viking Men's chorus. He went on to earn a BA in Choral Music from Augustana College in Sioux Falls, SD, where he sang in the Augustana Choir and a jazz quartet he co-founded.

He has also sung with The Sioux Falls Master Singers, The Macalester Community Chorale, One Voice Mixed Chorus / OVation, Kantorei, and Temple Baptist/Community church where he also served as musical director.

Jim's quick wit and perfect pitch have been assets the rest of the group enjoys immensely.

Jim enthusiastically immerses himself in the craziness and camaraderie of
The Court Revelers and the Festival. He says it's like being on
Laugh-In..."before electricity".

Jim's character, "Lord Ockham Von MacMilhaus" (aka "Ockie") wandered into
The Court Revelers looking for his Uncle McMillan.  Although McMillan was
not to be found, he decided to stay, though overwhelmed by some of the
shenanigans at times (oh my!)
